On December 28, 2024, Huayou Cobalt Industry and Northeastern University jointly hosted a New Year event for Indonesian international students. The annual summary symposium, corporate culture seminar, and New Year gala provided a platform for exchanges of ideas, experience sharing, and friendship building among enterprises, schools, and students. More importantly, these activities made the international students feel the warmth of home in a foreign land at the end of the year, looking forward to the new year together.

Annual Summary Symposium

At the symposium, Li Qian, General Manager of the Group Human Resources Management Center, conveyed Chairman Chen Xuehua's concern and care for the students and extended sincere New Year greetings. In the coming year, it is hoped that the students will continue to strengthen their professional studies, actively participate in practical activities, deeply understand Chinese culture, and build up strength steadily.

Wang Yubao, General Manager of the Human Resources Management Center of Huayou Indonesia Nickel Industry Group, shared an overview of Huayou's business in Indonesia, providing a picture full of unlimited opportunities and a promising future for the students' careers, significantly influencing their learning and career development.

Three student representatives expressed their hard work academically at Northeastern University, unity and mutual assistance in life, as well as openness and enthusiasm in a cross-cultural environment.

Corporate Culture Seminar

Wen Shuming, Executive Vice Dean of the Group Management Institute, conducted an in-depth analysis and interpretation of the origin, content of Huayou culture, and the guidelines of Huayou's enterprise.

In the "Jointly Drawing the Blueprint" session, students picked up brushes to paint their beautiful vision for the future. These colorful and profound paintings not only gathered the team's wisdom but also showcased the students' expectations for the future development of Huayou's enterprise.

New Year Gala

Tang Lixin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering , Vice President of Northeastern University, along with leaders, teachers from various departments, and 68 Indonesian international students attended the gala. Dr. Tang expressed gratitude towards Chairman Chen Xuehua of Huayou Cobalt Industry and the Indonesian government for their trust and support towards Northeastern University, acknowledging the students' study and living conditions. He hoped that the three parties would maintain close cooperation in the coming year and contribute to the scientific education sector under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Experts and officials from the Indonesian government delivered video speeches, expressing thanks and blessings to Huayou and the school, hoping that the students would achieve academic success and good health in the new year.
